In Google Summer of Code 2009, I act as a mentor to an open source project, which tries to port openSuSE Linux 11.1 on MIPS 64le processor. The target hardware system is Gdium netbook (http://www.gdium.com).
Content of this talk includes,
- The original purpose of this Linux porting project.
- The coperation with OLPH project (http://olph.gdium.com/)
- The approach to make the distribution level porting.
- A live demo with Gdium netbook hardware.
Since there are many Gdium hackers in France, there might be opportunity to invite one of the Gdium hackers to co-lead the talk.
